International Coffee Day coincides with predictions of upcoming coffee shortages; Brazil key1/10/2021 Today, October 1 is International Coffee Day and it's worth highlighting how both Brazil and Australia feature heavily in global coffee markets: Brazil as the the world's top producer and Australia as a major consumer. Interestingly, this report came out just yesterday and warned of an approaching shortage as drought and frost have affected up to 20% of Brazil's recent harvests.
