Today, October 1 is International Coffee Day and it's worth highlighting how both Brazil and Australia feature heavily in global coffee markets: Brazil as the the world's top producer and Australia as a major consumer. Interestingly, this report came out just yesterday and warned of an approaching shortage as drought and frost have affected up to 20% of Brazil's recent harvests. The Consulate General of Brazil in Sydney and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), in coordination with the Embassy of Brazil in Canberra, have launched a series of webinars organized to present the potential opportunities for cooperation in technology-intensive sectors such as ag-tech and fintech, to be held June 16 to 18.
