The Latin American Film Festival (LAFF) is an initiative of the Latin American Embassies in Australia to showcase their culture and film industry. The Embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela have partnered once again to bring the biggest festival of its kind to cities throughout the country. Brisbane’s ‘Brazil Week’ to showcase cultural, business and institutional links this September8/7/2022 The inaugural edition of ‘Brazil Week’ in Brisbane will be held from the 1st to the 8th of September, 2022.

While the strong links between Australia and Brazil in sectors such as mining and energy are well recognised, it is lesser known that there is a very strong contingent of Brazilian professionals working in construction and design roles right around Australia. Furthermore, in June 2022 the Brazilian government committed $1.3 billion to invest in sustainable infrastructure projects in the country - hopefully Australia can be an important partner in this major new push, with expats in both countries contributing on multiple fronts, thereby further strengthening the Australia Brazil relationship. This networking event, scheduled for Tuesday August 2, will feature insights from key professionals working in the construction and design sectors in Perth and help pave the way for future collaboration. The 5th edition of Brazil Investment Forum (BIF 2022) is scheduled for 14th and 15th June, 2022. The BIF is the largest investment forum in Latin America, organized by the Brazilian Federal Government, ApexBrasil and Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento.
In 2021, the event was attended by more than 6,000 registered participants from more than 100 countries. The two-day event takes place on an online platform, and registration is free. The list of speakers includes officials from the Brazilian government and international organizations, as well as experts and top executives of global companies. Registered participants will have access to a business networking platform and will be able to submit consultations about investments in Brazil.
